  23. My understanding (and experience) is that serial does quite well, but your 
  24. maximum baud drops as you increase distance.  I don't have the numbers handy, 
  25. but at a job I had in southern CA, we ran quite a distance at 9600 buad (not 
  26. quite 30 meters, though).  Someone somewhere should have the actual figures.
